Chip Flavor Taste Test Analysis
For my 32nd birthday my family got together and did a massive chip taste test focused on unique or international varities. Everyone rated each chip on a scale of 0-100 for relative enjoyment and then scored them for how authentic the flavor match was. This activity was heavily inspired by Good Mythical Morning.

Most & Least Accurate Flavors
How well did each chip flavor represent what it claimed to be?
Key Insights:
- Pesto (Tantos) was rated as the most accurate flavor representation with an average score of 87/100.
- Scallops (Lay's) was rated as the least accurate with only 24/100.
- Most participants agreed that Tantos and Carolina Kettle brands had the most accurate flavor profiles.
Most & Least Enjoyed Flavors
Which flavors did participants actually like the most?
Key Insights:
- Salt & Pepper (Trader Joe's) was the most enjoyed flavor with an average score of 80/100.
- Garlic Shrimp (Doritos) was the least enjoyed with only 19/100.
- Three of the top five most enjoyed flavors were from specialty brands rather than mainstream chip companies.
Dame's Favorites & Least Favorites
Key Insights:
- Chamoy! (Kettle Brand) was Dame's absolute favorite with a score of 95/100.
- Dame's least favorite was Pizza Party (Trader Joe's) with only 25/100.

Key Insights:
- Ghost Chili (Lay's) had the most variable ratings (StdDev: 32.1).
- Spicy flavors in general tended to have high disagreement among tasters.
